When I was in Cuba for the first time, for a total of seven days, I met a very shy woman on the Malecon in Havana, on the next to last day that I was in the country. The girl was from Moa, and she was staying in the house of her cousin, also originally from Moa, who was helping her learn her way around Havana. I had been through a blessedly short marriage and divorce, but couldn't see the blessedness at the time. In the US, I was too unhappy to work, or read, or do much of anything, and the discovery of an entirely different world was one of the few things that made it seem possible that perhaps life was not necessarily hopeless.

The hotel is beauiful, all of the staff are freindly, we espically liked Alex, George and Helenas at the lounge cocktail bar, a strong and amusing team. You dont need to leave the resort unless you are going on an excursion, there is day time entertainment aswell as top quality evening enertainment too. The pool is pretty shallow throughout, but i guess this is a good thing as it was busy with children mainly! The beach is beautiful, but get there early if you want the decent beach loungers- with arms!
